Hristo Stoichkov, Daniel Borimirov, Gheorghe “Gica” Popescu and Yordan Lechkov played a “Star Football Game” at Arena Armeec Sofia today. It was a match, organized by Kamenitza FANcup, national football tournament for amateurs in Bulgaria. The event took place in the Training hall in front of full stand. It started exactly at 11:00 and offered a real drama. Both teams were aligned by the motto of “Friends from the neighborhood” and so was the whole feeling of the event.
There was, of course, lots of sports character. In the begining the team of Borimirov got a two goal lead, but after that Ico’s boys evened the result and even got the lead at 4:3. Literally, in the last minute of the game, Borimirov’s team equalised so it was all decided from the spot. The luck today was on Hristo Stoichkov’s side and finally his boys won.
